Client is seeking a Real Estate Facilities Manager to join their team.

Looking for someone eager and strong, not looking for someone who is really seasoned and at the last step of their career. Only governance, needs someone to be able to stand ground, needs to be strong enough to enforce and influence people.

The top responsibilities for this role are to keep both locations running smoothly, also keeping projects running on track, meeting financial forecasts for projects, budget, and meets the expectations of the end user. Day to day would be, making sure the facilities are managed properly and the employee services meet expectations for the particular sites, also maintaining employee engagement.  Important to have experience working with outsourced service provider.

We are looking for a forward-thinking, dynamic Workplace Services leader with experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnical, or life sciences who can help lead us into its next phase of growth and innovation.

Workplace Services is our Corporate Real Estate function, managing 5M sqft, 100 sites, across 30 countries. Programs include real estate acquisition and disposition, capital planning, project management, facilities operations, employee services and amenities, security, risk management, travel and EHS.

This role is focused on 2 sites in Colorado totaling 200K sqft. and expanding. Both sites house our Nucleic Acid Solutions Division which produces active pharmaceutical ingredients for biological-based therapeutics. The sites are complex, chemically centered, highly regulated manufacturing facility with multiple shifts. This emerging market is currently experiencing significant growth and we are looking for a candidate with the technical experience and regulatory foundation to grow with us in this new frontier.

Business enablement: Maintain infrastructure with no business disruptions; Ensure regulatory compliance; Implement our global EHS program, Anticipate/identify new demand and emerging requirements, enable capacity expansion, support business ventures/M&A, represent us within the local state and county/city jurisdictions

Employee Engagement: Ensure a safe and effective work environment; Provide a collaborative work space and helpful amenities; Lead and promote environmental stewardship; Promote our brand/culture through our real estate; plan and execute company events and parties

Operational leverage: Provide a best in class cost structure, optimization of sites and space, deliver leverage of assets, spend, and suppliers optimizing the outsourced model; provide a consistent approach to support and standards

Responsibilities:

•Leading day to day operations including facilities management, EHS, and employee services. Includes management of strategic/global suppliers, listening and responding to inputs from employees and key stakeholders, integration of acquisitions, ensuring operational excellence in execution.

•Working with your team to identify and prioritize infrastructure projects, working with the business leaders to identify and prioritize business requested projects, developing this into an overall plan of record for approval during our strategic planning cycle. This includes the successful execution of such projects which can range from major greenfield construction projects to office relocations, site upgrades and infrastructure improvements.

•Leading the compliance functions of EHS and Global Security in the effective application of regulations and policies (FDA, PSM, ISO). Ensure to provide a safe, effective and efficient workplace in line with our values and ethics. This includes providing appropriate training and consultation, and representing us with external regulators.

•Collaborate with businesses and other functions to maximize leverage , liaising across the broader Global Infrastructure Services organization on infrastructure service optimization and delivery

•Working across WPS and in close collaboration with the businesses to identify and anticipate new demand, projects and strategies that would further our business goals. This could range from identifying locations or expansions to support business growth, energy efficiency projects to further our environmental and cost goals, rationalizing suppliers/operations to improve productivity.

•Managing an annual budget (opex and capex)

•Developing and communicating the objectives and goals for suppliers and the WPS team including talent development and process improvement activities.

•Providing upfront consultancy and implementing complex corporate and business changes as per agreed plan e.g. re-organizations, acquisitions & divestitures

•Bachelor’s degree required with emphasis in Engineering, Project Management or other relevant field is preferred.
•Typically 10-15 years work experience in management and leadership positions in Bio-pharmaceutical and other highly regulated environments.
•Knowledge of Process Safety Management standards
•Strong knowledge of supplier management, facilities management and project management in regulated spaces
