Covered the Emergency Room for this (outsourced) company when they were short-staffed or behind.  I was the only transcriptionist in the company that worked both departments as needed, often switching departments several times in one shift.

In my early years I worked for a chain of answering services (Tustin, CA) as an operator/customer service representative becoming a weekend/evening supervisor while still in high school; worked at TRW (Orange, CA) posting mortgage payments for the entire country via 10-key data entry; and worked as a file clerk for a litigation law firm (PBG, FL).

Guardian ad Litem – High level of volunteering for a state level, national program (CASA) that advocates to the court on behalf of abused/abandoned/neglected children.  In addition to being a GAL, I also help out in the circuit office which is located in the main county courthouse located in West Palm Beach, Florida.

 

Toastmasters International – “Empowering individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders.”

 

Socrates Café – Members meet monthly to discuss life’s BIG questions.  An open forum to discuss critical thinking and thought-provoking topics without judgement or criticism.

 

I volunteer when I can for causes benefiting animals, children, veterans, the elderly, the homeless/poor, humanity and the environment.
